The portfolio encompasses the inferences derived out of the study of a 1 km2 area of Semariya Chowk located in the city of Satna, Madhya Pradesh, as part of Understand the City studio. It gives an overview of the chowk and covers the process of evolution and tranformation of the urban development. It captures the various aspects of demography, built form, streets and other urban development elements. The study focuses on the formation of a public space around Semariya Chowk in a highway oriente dvelopment.
