The study profiles a 1 sq km area of Thrippunithura, the Temple town of Kochi. The portfolio focuses on the transformation and increases in residential demand in the precinct by addressing the development of infrastructure and social dynamic characteristics such as, the transit infrastructure that has played a major role in shaping the city and connecting different parts of Kochi together, making it easy to commute and then the relationship between livelihood, housing choices and different urban policies that influenced in the development of the city and precinct. Where Thrippunithura has transformed into a desirable residential suburb with Kochi's rapid urbanization and the growth of business, commerce and ITES in the neighbourhood of Thrippunithura.
